Casestudy gezondheidszorg in meerdere landen<\/h2>\n

SIS International Research voerde een online studie uit namens een van onze klanten, die nauw samenwerkte met een wereldwijd farmaceutisch bedrijf. De focus van deze studie lag vooral op pati\u00ebnten uit 6 verschillende landen verspreid over Noord-Amerika en West-\/Noord-Europa, allemaal gediagnosticeerd met opio\u00efde-ge\u00efnduceerde constipatie als gevolg van chronische pijnbestrijding. De totale steekproef voor alle landen kwam uit op 500 pati\u00ebnten, wat werd bereikt na een online enqu\u00eate van 20 minuten.<\/p>\n

SIS programmeerde en hostte de enqu\u00eate, vertaalde overlays in vier talen voor dit project en werkte aan kruistabellen en analyses.<\/p>\n

Nadat het ontwerp van de vragenlijst samen met de opdrachtgever was bevestigd, werd het onderzoek uiteindelijk gestart en succesvol afgerond binnen drie weken veldwerk en een volledige week van gegevensanalyse en presentatie.<\/p>\n

Project managers from two different SIS offices covering multiple time zones around the globe worked together closely with the client<\/a> on this study, and ensured that the flow of information to and from the client was never interrupted in order to provide constant fieldwork updates and answers to our client’s queries almost instantly.<\/p>\n

The fieldwork process included some nuances. The study took place in all countries simultaneously, so accuracy and efficient coordination were key considerations. In addition, it was important to adapt and localize the list of medications into each of the 6 countries, and ensure that questions and selections were relevant in each market<\/a>. For instance, medications can hold different names in different countries or can only be present in certain countries. Therefore, a robust secondary research effort can be crucial in contextualizing and analyzing feedback and data.<\/p>\n

Enkele van de belangrijkste bevindingen die we uit dit onderzoek hebben gehaald, zijn:<\/h2>\n

Bij vrouwen werd een hogere respons behaald (55%) en meer dan de helft van de respondenten was 45+ (55%).
De landen met de hoogste responspercentages waren Canada, de VS en het VK.
De meerderheid van de respondenten (44%) had de afgelopen 1-5 jaar last van aanhoudende (chronische) pijn die niet gerelateerd was aan kanker.
Meer dan de helft van de respondenten (60%) had last van pijnniveaus vari\u00ebrend van 7 tot 10 (waarbij 1 staat voor zwakte en 10 voor de ergste pijn die ze zich konden voorstellen).<\/p>\n

Overall, this study was a success and provided insight<\/a> for meaningful change and development. Online surveys also have drawbacks, compared to traditional qualitative methods for instance. There are no trained<\/a> interviewers to probe respondents and gather additional data, and some countries do not have the same internet\/mobile coverage as others, which could limit the sampling and respondent availability.<\/p>\n
