Ithaca is best known for its excellence in higher education and its status as a premier research university.  The city has a disproportionate impact on higher education because Cornell University is located there.  Cornell is an Ivy League school, considered among the most prestigious universities in the country.  <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
